Kara fell in love with makeup artistry over 11 years ago. Her journey began with MAC cosmetics where she became a true artist, realizing her passion for the industry, and explored her creativity. After becoming advanced certified, she moved to Tampa, Florida with MAC, learning and managing the operations side of the business, broadening her skill sets. Her life's journey later took her to the big apple, New York City, where she opened the Shu Uemura Counter in the flagship store Bloomingdales on 59th Street. She was trained under the lead master artists of the Shu Uemura brand.

 

Learning the industry, and promoting her career growth has also allowed her to work with Estee Lauder, Bare Escentuals, and achieve her career goal of becoming the MD/DC/VA Territory manager for Laura Mercier. Her most recent path of the last two years led her to ULTA, managing all Prestige brands. She grew to love, learn, and train with Urban Decay, Too Faced, Tarte, Smashbox, Benefit and Stila to name a few. 

 

After getting married in October 2015, she and her husband are now settling into their new home in Richmond, VA. Kara is eager and passionate about meeting new clients here as well as furthering her training and knowledge of the beauty industry.
